A Word From Our Founder

Dear Friends,

I have decided to start Voice to Parliament as an extension of my commitment to the cause of Christian democracy. It is my firm belief that the principles of our Christian-Judeo worldview are the answer to the challenges of our time. Both in South Africa and the world. Our vision is to create real change in people’s lives by putting the principles of Christian Democracy into practice.

Our nation South Africa, has been through over a decade of systematic decline in governance in all spheres of government. The communities in our cities, and rural areas have experienced slow degradation under a sluggish and unresponsive State. This crisis and failure of political leadership marks the critical need for Christian democracy.

Our Vision

To serve as a civil rights movement representing the voices of communities to the halls of power, and to ensure the principles of our constitutional democracy is upheld.

Our Mission

To mobilise communities to fight for themselves and for their voices to not be ignored in the issues that affects them the most. We advocate for a South Africa where the gap between grass roots and parliamentarians are not a chasm, and service not only an election slogan!

Voice to Parliament is unashamedly political in our advocacy for Christian Democratic principles.
 
It is the engine room of a growing grassroots movement to demand accountability from elected representatives and government to listen to the voices of people who elected them.
 
It serves as a body to strengthen oversight through mobilisation of communities.
Our mission is to call for greater accountability from those whose mandate is to serve on behalf of  “we the people”.
 
Voice to Parliament is committed to fight for the values that underpins the high ideals of public service. We say It is not enough to oppose bad policy, and resist the implosion of public service, but we must promote good governance and advocate for better policies.
 
We are the generation of women, and men who must reset the dial, for the sake of our children. Every campaign and project we run has as its motivation “virrie kinnes”, “ngenxa yabantwana” “for the sake of our children “
